MOLINE, Ill., Jan. 5, 2023/ PRNewswire/– Throughout John Deere’s CES 2023 keynote address, the company revealed two brand-new innovations, ExactShot ™ and an electrical excavator, that will help Deere’s consumers be more efficient, successful, and sustainable.
“Everything we do at John Deere is focused on genuine function and real effect,” said Jahmy Hindman, CTO at John Deere. “This indicates we’re developing technology that allows our clients to provide the food, fuel, fiber and facilities that our growing global population needs.”
John Deere ExactShot will help farmers be economically and environmentally sustainable.
John Deere’s brand-new electrical excavator, powered by a Kreisel battery.
ExactShot enables farmers to minimize the amount of starter fertilizer needed throughout planting by more than 60%. The innovation uses sensing units and robotics to put starter fertilizer exactly onto seeds as they are planted in the soil, rather than using a constant circulation of fertilizer to the entire row of seeds.
The electrical excavator, powered by a Kreisel battery, will offer building employees and roadway contractors with lower daily operating costs, decreased jobsite noise, boosted machine reliability, and no emissions, without compromising the power and performance they require in a device.
ExactShot Particulars:
- ExactShot will help farmers be economically and environmentally sustainable as they work tirelessly to grow the food, fuel and fiber that we all count on. With the international population anticipated to grow from 8 billion to almost 10 billion by 2050, farmers need to increase production by 60% to 70% on today’s arable land.
- ExactShot uses a sensing unit to register when each individual seed is in the process of entering into the soil. As this happens, a robotic will spray only the amount of fertilizer required, about 0.2 ML, straight onto the seed at the precise moment as it goes into the ground.
- Throughout the U.S. corn crop, ExactShot could conserve over 93 million gallons of starter fertilizer each year and avoid squandered fertilizer from encouraging weed growth or increasing the risk of running the field into a waterway.
Electric Excavator Particulars:
- Deere’s brand-new electrical excavator, powered by a Kreisel battery, will improve dependability, performance and safety in building and construction. Its usage on building websites will result in less moving parts, less noise pollution, and less emissions.
- Deere obtained a majority stake in Kreisel Electric, which produced cutting edge battery technology for a vast array of mobile and stationary applications. Kreisel’s patented immersion cooling architecture offers unsurpassed lifetime, boosted security, and enhanced performance for battery-powered devices.
- Kreisel’s charging technology leads to faster and lower-cost connections to the electrical grid.
